Shrek the Musical at SM City Cebu Cinema this valentines. SHREK THE MUSICAL, based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage.

In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre — not a handsome prince — shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand…and his name is Shrek.

SCENE ONE is a non-profit performing arts group comprised of students and young professionals who share the passion for the arts and the dedication and commitment to make things happen. Its members aim to provide an enjoyable and worthwhile way for individuals to spend their spare time by helping each other realize and develop their talents in singing, dancing and acting, and in turn, share what they have learned to the community through various productions and performances.

SCENE ONE PERFORMING ARTS GROUP

It was organized last March 26, 2009 by a group of college students from the University of San Carlos. At first they only wanted to do something fun during the summer, and being performing arts enthusiasts they thought about producing a show, inspired by the stories of the more experienced ones who’ve been in plays and various performances. But that was only the beginning; eventually, they decided to create a group that, while focused on the performing arts, was firmly built upon certain values.
